Chancellor Ronnie Green is hosting a series of social gatherings to celebrate the work of University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s staff employees.

The Chillin’ with the Chancellor events, which started Aug. 7, continue Aug. 8 and 10. Employees who attend have the chance to enjoy free ice cream from the Dairy Store and visit one-on-one with the chancellor. No formal program is planned. Employees can simply show up and enjoy an ice cream treat.

“This is an opportunity for me to talk directly to some of our staff employees and thank them for what they do every day,” Green said. “It’s great to hear about the variety of jobs our employees do to support students and make this university run well.”

Time and locations for the remaining events are:

Aug. 8 — 1:30 to 3 p.m., west entrance to the Outdoor Adventures Center; and

Aug. 10 — Noon to 1:30 p.m., Learning Commons Plaza outside of Love Library North.

The Chillin’ with the Chancellor series is free and open to all university employees.
