Training Opportunity

The Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women is currently recruiting undergraduate and graduate students to serve on the commission.

The commission’s mission is to enhance the status of all women and people of all genders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln by advising the Chancellor on issues pertaining to gender equity and on specific concerns of women faculty, staff and students at the university.

The full commission meets monthly and the Council of Students meets biweekly, based on availability, to focus on issues related to students.

  • Letter of interest stating the reasons you are interested in serving on the Council and some of the key issues you wish to address in this role.

  • Student member application, available online

  • Letter of recommendation from a university affiliate

  • Resume

The deadline to submit for graduate students is Feb. 3 and March 2 for undergraduate students.
