Chancellor explores dedication of Cornhusker Marching Band

Video: 3 Questions with Ronnie — Cornhusker Marching Band

With the fall semester in full swing, Chancellor Ronnie Green is on campus and continuing his one-on-one talks with Huskers in the “3 Questions with Ronnie” video series.

In video above, Green takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Cornhusker Marching Band with Tony Falcone, director of bands; Doug Bush, assistant director of bands; and Maddie Gulizia, a senior biological sciences major and cymbal player.

A few facts Green learned about the band include:

  • The 2022 Cornhusker Marching Band is 300 students strong, representing every University of Nebraska–Lincoln college and some 60 majors;

  • The band’s current median GPA is greater than 3.5; and

  • 25 current marching Huskers boast a 4.0 GPA.

Additional videos in this series will be announced. Each features Green in a three-question conversation to learn more about the people and places on campus.
