Career Services to host job fairs, events in September
As a part of several career development events this month, Career Services will host three separate job fairs Sept. 25-27.
Career Services will offer several career development events in the month of September to help students prepare for upcoming interviews, summer jobs, internships and careers.
Fall Career Fairs
Representatives from various employers and organizations will be available to discuss job opportunities in their fields. The events are open to students of all majors. Dates include:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Career Fair, 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 25, Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Dr.,
- Business and Liberal Arts Career Fair, 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 26, Pinnacle Bank Arena, 400 Pinnacle Arena Dr.
- Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Career Fair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 27, Nebraska East Union
Backpacks to Briefcases
From 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Nebraska Union, students can attend three sessions to help maximize their college experience and launch their career. Activities will include:
- A success panel comprised of exceptional alumni, as well as other various career and student panels
- Leadership and networking breakout sessions
- Resume review by professional career advisers
- Learning how to prepare for the university’s fall career fairs, dress for success, and use LinkedIn
