Capstone Exhibition to feature senior art projects

This year's School of Art, Art History and Design Capstone Exhibition will be Dec. 6-20 in Richard Hall's Eisentrager•Howard Gallery.

The School of Art, Art History and Design’s Capstone Exhibition, a display featuring the work of senior graphic design and studio art students, will run Dec. 6 through 20 in the Eisentrager•Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.

Two receptions will be held during the exhibition. An opening reception will be 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6; a closing reception will be 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 20.

Perry Family, Cather Graphic Design and Gomez Art Supply award winners will be announced in the gallery at 6 p.m. during the closing reception. Selected by School of Art, Art History and Design faculty, the awards are given to students whose works display creative and technical excellence.

Faculty leading the graphic design and studio art capstone courses this semester are Stacy Asher, associate professor of graphic design, and Robert Ladislas Derr, professor of art.

Gallery hours for the exhibition are Monday through Friday, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. There will be extended hours from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 to coincide with the Clay Club and Photo Club sales.

Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
