UNL museums will host First Friday festivities on Feb. 6. Admission to the exhibits and related activities are free and open to the public.

Participating museums include:

Great Plains Art Museum, 5 to 7 p.m. — Opening reception for “Select Photographs by Fred E. Miller: Photographer of the Crows” and “Homefront and Battlefield: Quilts and Context in the Civil War,” a touring exhibit, presented by the Nebraska State Historical Society.

International Quilt Study Center and Museum, 4:30 to 7 p.m. — Celebration of the ongoing museum expansion project through a “Bless This Mess” party. Festivities include games, puzzles, refreshments, updates on the project and an appearance from the Lincoln High School dance troupe Ground Zero.

Love Library, 5 to 8 p.m. — Love Library host its inaugural First Friday with the opening of “The Lentz Collection: Celebrating the Diverse Cultures and Artistic Traditions of Asia,” in the east reading room on the second floor of Love South. The exhibit showcases artifacts from the Lentz Center for Asian Culture’s collection.

Sheldon Museum of Art, 5 to 7 p.m. — Reception for Lincoln Photofest 2015, a community-wide photography exhibition.
