The drama “Burning” opens Feb. 1 at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.

The film follows Jongsu, an alienated introvert whose life is complicated by the appearance of two unexpected visitors — Haemi, a spirited woman from his past, and Ben, her wealthy and sophisticated boyfriend.

As the film progresses, Ben’s mysterious hobby and Haemi’s sudden disappearance culminate in a shocking finale.

Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers calls “Burning” a “stunning, slow-build thriller” that “sizzles with a cumulative power that will knock the wind out of you.”

With their golden era of comedy behind them, Laurel (played by Steve Coogan) and Hardy (John C. Reilly), face an uncertain future as they try to reignite their film careers. The movie captures the pair’s journey as they reconnect with fans, confront the past and realize the depth of their partnership.
