The Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication is hosting its first Annual Symposium at 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery.

The symposium will explore the research done in the center. This event is free. No registration is required.

Cliff Stains, professor of chemistry, will give a talk titled “New Fluorophore Scaffolds for Interrogating Biological Systems” at 3 p.m.

Ed Harris, professor of biochemistry, will speak on “Liver-Mediated Clearance of Both Natural and Synthetic Carbohydrate-Based Polymers Via the Class H Stabilin Receptors” at 3:35 p.m.

The guest speaker for the event is John Tomich, professor and director of biotechnology/proteomics core facility at Kansas State University. Tomich will present “Peptide Bilayer Delimited Nano-Capsules: A Robust Intracellular Delivery System” at 4:10 p.m.
