Tyler Riewer, a 2004 University of Nebraska-Lincoln alumnus, will share how his Nebraska experience led him to pursue his passions in the inaugural Big Red Talk at 7 p.m. March 28 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium, 1400 R St.

Riewer is the brand content lead for Charity: Water, a nonprofit organization that aims to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. He has traveled around the world to meet people whom Charity: Water serves and tell stories about the impact of the organization’s work.

Big Red Talks is a new speaker series designed to showcase the formative impact of experiences outside the classroom. The goal is to inspire the campus community through 20-minute stories followed by dialogue with speakers.

The event is free and open to the public. After the presentation, the Center for Civic Engagement will host a dessert reception in the union’s Georgian Suite.
