The Department of Classics and Religious Studies will host its annual Halloween battle re-enactment at 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at Meier Commons and Plaza, the green space north of the Nebraska Union. The event is open to all students.

This year’s event is based off of the Second Punic War, when Rome fought against Carthage in the Battle of Zama. The re-enactment provides students with an interactive and entertaining learning experience outside of classroom lectures, as well as an opportunity to bond with others with a shared interest in religious studies and classics.

Students are encouraged to come in costume. Refreshments will be served afterward, and various contests will be held throughout. Learn more about the event.
