The Association for Women in Science is seeking applications and nominations to serve a three-year term on its institutional steering committee.

The committee's mission is to create a campus culture that increases the participation and impact of women in all areas of research and at all levels in the academy and the broader scientific community.

The steering committee works to achieve this mission through programming and involvement on campus. It meets twice a semester to discuss the group’s mission, what the current status is on campus, and how to envision improving the situation for women in science on campus. The committee is traditionally composed of women and allies from across campus.

Applications should be submitted online by Dec. 1. To nominate someone, contact Brittany Duncan, associate professor in the School of Computing and committee chair, at bduncan@unl.edu.
