Art school hosts pottery, photo sales Dec. 9-10

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Clay Club Fall Sale and Raffle and the Photo Club’s Photo Sale are Dec. 9 and 10 in Richards Hall.

Hours for both sales are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 9 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 10. The pottery sale will be in Room 118, while the photo sale will be in Room 121 and the MEDICI Gallery.

The Clay Club sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni and faculty in the School of Art, Art History and Design representing a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.

In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle of work donated by students, faculty and alumni. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased either day. The drawing will be 5 p.m. Dec. 10, but winners do not need to be present to win.

Proceeds from the sale will fund the Clay Club visiting artist program and facilitate student attendance at annual professional conferences. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

The photo sale will include images captured by students in the Photo Club. The images will be a mix of digital and silver prints.

There will also be a raffle that features prints from graduate students, Dana Fritz, professor of art, and Walker Pickering, assistant professor of art.
