Faculty Leadership in Academia: From Inspiration to Reality is a cohort based program that helps faculty prepare to advance their careers by taking on formal leadership roles. Faculty Affairs in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor provides this professional development opportunity for those who are in their first leadership position or considering pursuing leadership opportunities. Programming includes a series of leadership workshops throughout the 2024-25 academic year.

Participation is open to faculty with strong, untapped leadership potential who have the rank of associate or full professor (tenured, practice, research or extension). Participants must commit to attending all workshops, which will be held in person on City Campus on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Aug. 28, Sep. 18, Oct. 23, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 26, and April 30.

Interested applicants should complete the online form by April 15. They should also request that a brief letter of support for their application be sent by their department executive officer to facultyaffairs@unl.edu by April 15.
