Annual promotion and tenure transformed into unique, in-person celebration

Campus administrators, faculty and family members celebrated promotion and tenure at the Nebraska Champions Club on April 27. The event was held outdoors to observe COVID-19 protocols.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s annual celebration for faculty members who were promoted and/or tenured during either the 2019-20 or 2020-21 cycle was held safely outdoors as a drive-in event on the evening of April 27 at the Nebraska Champions Club.

Highlights from the event — which observed all COVID-19 protocols — included cheer parades, remarks from campus leadership, and plenty of space for family and friends to safely gather. Recorded remarks and additional photos are available online.
