360 video: Battle of Zama comes alive on campus

The Battle of Zama was re-created Oct. 31.

The Department of Classics and Religious Studies hosted its annual Halloween battle re-enactment Oct. 31 at Meier Commons and Plaza, the green space north of the Nebraska Union.

This year’s event was based on the Second Punic War, when Rome fought against Carthage in the Battle of Zama. The re-enactment provided students with an interactive and entertaining learning experience outside of classroom lectures, as well as an opportunity to bond with others with a shared interest in religious studies and classics.
