Bio
Gina Simanek is a licensed mental health practitioner, consultant, educator, and volunteer. She assists people with brain injuries (BI) with mental health, medical issues and overcoming traumas. She was the first to provide outreach services throughout Lincoln to the entire state of Nebraska for individuals with BI and their families. In 2008 she became the Nebraska State BI Ombudsperson and a Statewide Information and Referral Specialist for the Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska while working full time at UNL’s Disability Office.
