Tom Franti is an associate professor with the Department of Biological Systems Engineering. His main areas of research and professional interest are surface water quality, urban stormwater BMPs and ecological engineering. He teaches classes about ecological engineering, river restoration engineering and nonpoint source pollution control. In 2015 he was the co-recipient of the Community Landscape Award, awarded by the Nebraska State Arboretum, for state-wide, team programming in promotion of green infrastructure.
