Naomi Rodgers is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at UNL. She specializes in the area of stuttering. Her professional experiences as a speech-language pathologist working with people who stutter of all ages, and personal experiences as a person who stutters, have inspired her research program and teaching philosophy. Her program of research focuses on the cognitive, emotional and social aspects of stuttering. She teaches graduate coursework in the area of stuttering and related fluency disorders to student clinicians training to become speech-language pathologists. She also leads the local support group for adults who stutter in eastern Nebraska.
