Bio

Dr. Erica Schauer is a lecturer of French in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She teaches intermediate grammar courses, French creative writing, historical representations and expressions of French queerness, history and literature leading up to and following the French Revolution, and 19th century French literature to upperclassmen and graduate students. Her research interests include queer theory, transgender studies, ritual studies, girls’ education, prostitution and the body.

Bio

Nora Peterson’s research centers on early modern literature and culture, with particular interests in women’s writing; representations of the body; and intersections between literary texts and institutional discourse (religion, law, court) in sixteenth century France.

Bio

Jordan Stump’s teaching and research interests include the novel, 20th and 21st century literature, critical theory, and literary translation. He is the author of two books on the novels of Raymond Queneau as well as articles on well-known French authors.  He has published over 30 translations of mostly contemporary French novels. Dr. Stump serves on the executive committee for the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.
