Bio

Aaron Mittelstet is an award-wining associate professor of biological systems engineering and a courtesy professor with UNL's School of Natural Resources. He is an expert in watershed modeling, interaction between surface water and groundwater, water quality and streambank erosion. He studied how to use remote sensing and hydrological modeling to reduce highway flooding in the Nebraska Sandhills. (Updated November 2024.)
