Bio

A widely published researcher, Sam Allgood studies economic education, the efficiency of taxation, and CEO turnover and compensation. He also researches labor economics, including age discrimination, and microeconomics. His research includes economic education, the efficiency of taxation, and CEO turnover and compensation. He also studies labor economics and microeconomics. Allgood is a member of the American Economic Association (AEA) Committee on Economic Education and co-organizer of the AEA's EDUCATE teaching workshop. He is co-editor of the Journal of Economic Education. Allgood’s research has been published in the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Business, Economic Inquiry, National Tax Journal, Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and the Journal of Economic Literature, among others. He is Edwin J. Faulkner professor of economics at UNL. (Updated March 2025)
