The next Genealogy over Lunch will explore Indigenous history on the Great Plains.
Gabe Bruguier, assistant professor in the Libraries, will discuss two of his ancestors, Theophile Bruguier and Chief Struck By the Ree, and the roles they played in the passing of the Treaty of 1858, which ceded traditional Yankton land, and created the Yankton Indian Reservation. He will also discuss the use of ArcGIS StoryMaps as a digital platform for telling a historical story.
Join in the online discussion at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
