After a busy summer at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, campus came to life this week as thousands of students and faculty returned for the new academic year.

Dozens of events were held as part of the university's expanded Big Red Welcome, including Nebraska's first-year student tunnel run, a giant icebreaker activity in Campus Rec, new student convocation and a barbeque with Chancellor Ronnie Green.
