The Center for Transformative Teaching is relaunching its advisory board and seeking students, faculty and staff who are interested in teaching and learning at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

The board will provide guidance on the center’s priorities, programs and services while bringing together perspectives from instructors, students and academic support units.

The board’s work comes as teaching continues to evolve alongside changing student needs, emerging technologies and new instructional approaches. Members will help ensure center programs, services and initiatives remain responsive, relevant and impactful.

The center advances the university's Our Bold Path Forward strategic framework through its focus on evidence-based, inclusive, innovative and effective teaching. Its work aligns with the university’s commitment to extraordinary teaching and learning.

The board commitment is designed to be modest while providing members an opportunity to influence teaching and learning. The board will meet once each semester during the academic year, with meetings lasting approximately 90 minutes. Members will serve staggered terms of up to three years and may reapply for additional terms.

Instructors interested in advancing instructional excellence, staff members who support student learning and students interested in helping shape the educational experience on campus are encouraged to apply.

Applications, available here, are open through Oct. 1 for those interested in serving during the 2026-27 school year. Applications received after Oct. 1 will be considered for subsequent semesters.
