Eric Frew of the University of Colorado will discuss unmanned aerial vehicles in an 11 a.m. June 25 presentation in Room 112 of L.W. Chase Hall.
Frew is an associate professor in aerospace engineering sciences and director of CU’s Engineering Center for Unmanned Vehicles. The talk will examine the center’s heterogeneous unmanned aircraft system, which is a fleet of small and miniature unmanned aircraft connected through a multi-tiered network. He will describe components of the unmanned aircraft system, including different airframes, autopilots, ground control stations, payload sensors and networking middleware.
