The University of Nebraska Police Department is participating in the 4th annual Coffee with a Cop Day on Oct. 2.
The national event began as part of Community Policing Week in 2016 and continues to be offered annually on the first Wednesday in October. It is intended as a way to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement officials, allowing members of the public to discuss issues face-to-face with police officers.
For the campus event, students, faculty and staff can meet with police officers from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Nebraska East Union’s first floor, or from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Crib. Free coffee will be available.
