Cadet Joe Wiese, a sophomore criminology and criminal justice major, rappels down the tower at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center near Mead. Cadets from across Nebraska took part in the fall training event, Oct. 4-5. The first day featured a variety of training opportunities, ranging from rappelling down the tower and completing obstacle courses to practicing throwing fake grenades and learning about first aid. Faculty and staff were also invited to watch the cadets in action. On Oct. 5, the cadets worked in teams to accomplish various tasks.

Members of the Testing Ag Performance Solutions team work to collect samples to study from a corn field. Before a combine can roll, the team removes technology from the field and collects samples of the stalks and corn ears. All samples are delivered to Ward Laboratories for study.
