The Lied Center for Performing Arts has suspended in-person attendance at its remaining 2020 events due to the threat of the novel coronavirus. This decision impacts the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company’s annual production of “The Nutcracker,” which had been scheduled for Dec. 12 and 13.
The production will now take place at 2 and 7 p.m. March 6 and 1 and 5 p.m. March 7.
Patrons who have purchased tickets to “The Nutcracker” will have their tickets automatically honored on the rescheduled dates and will receive an email with details. Tickets are available for the new dates and can be purchased here or by phone at 402-472-4747. The Lied Center box office is currently open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
The Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company’s “Nutcracker” features almost 200 student dancers from southeast Nebraska and professional guest artists. The classic story comes to life with stunning choreography, costumes and scenery, making the production a treasured tradition.
