Two new films, “The Aftermath” and “3 Faces,” open April 5 at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
“The Aftermath”
“The Aftermath” is set in postwar Germany in 1946 and stars Keira Knightley as Rachael Morgan, who travels to Hamburg to help rebuild the city. There, she shares a house with a German widower, played by Alexander Skarsgård, along with his troubled daughter.
“The Aftermath” is rated R for sexual content, nudity and violence, including some disturbing images. It plays through April 11.
“3 Faces”
A documentary, “3 Faces” captures the journey of actress Behnaz Jafari to rural Iran after she sees a video of a young girl being denied an education at a local drama conservatory. Jafari and filmmaker Jafar Panahi travel to the girl’s mountain village to see how they can help.
The film “3 Faces” plays through April 11.
