Teachers begin computer science training at Nebraska

This summer, teachers from across Nebraska participated in computer science training with Husker researchers.

This summer, 28 teachers from across the state began the first sessions of CSForAll: Adapt, Implement, and Research at Nebraska, an NSF-funded grant which will examine the adaptation and implementation of kindergarten through eighth-grade computer science curriculum in diverse school districts.

The primary goal of the grant program is to study how districts facing different contextual challenges, including rural schools, majority-minority schools and Native American reservation schools, adapt the curriculum to fit local needs and strengths to broaden participation in computer science.
