The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Symphonic Band will close the spring semester with “Homages” at 3 p.m. April 22 in Kimball Recital Hall.
The recital will be directed by Tony Falcone, senior lecturer in music, and Rubén Gómez, graduate assistant. Tickets, available at the door, are $5 general admission, and $3 students and senior citizens.
The concert will feature “Enigma Variations” by Edward Elgar; Mark Camphouse’s “A Movement for Rosa,” which honors civil rights heroine Rosa Parks; and Aaron Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait” with Kabin Thomas as narrator.
