The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion seeks applications and nominations for the position of assistant vice chancellor for inclusive leadership and learning.
A seven-member committee made up of faculty and staff has been formed to guide the search.
The group is chaired by Nick Monk, director of the Center for Transformative Teaching. Committee members include Gabriel Bruguier, enrolled member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and education and outreach coordinator for Mid-America Transportation Center; Vicki Highstreet, special projects manager for diversity, equity and inclusion for Student Affairs; Shavonna Holman, assistant professor of practice for educational administration; Ranelle Maltas, technology training services associate for Human Resources; Jordan Soliz, professor and Leland J. & Dorothy H. Olson Chair in Arts and Sciences, intergroup and family communication in the College of Arts and Sciences; and Changmin Yan, associate professor of advertising and public relations in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
The assistant vice chancellor for inclusive leadership and learning reports to the vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion. The position will serve as a leader in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and as a leader of diversity education and leadership development for the university.
