Lincoln Electric Systems’ Scott Benson and Marc Shkolnick will continue the SciPop Talk series with “Power (Or Lack Thereof) in a Zombie Apocalypse,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in Love Library South, Peterson Room.
Benson, manager in resource and transmission planning, and Mark Shkolnick, manager in energy services, will review how Hollywood depicts energy generation and usage in a post-apocalyptic world. The talk will also consider how the electric grid operates currently and how would that change in a zombie apocalypse.
The SciPop Talk series facilitates the intersection of science and popular culture. Talks are free, open to the public and sponsored by the University Libraries and Department of Chemistry.
