The Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management will host the annual Design Studio Showcase from 1 to 4:30 p.m. May 5 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center.
The Raikes Design Studio combines the strength of knowledge in many areas including computer science, engineering, business, and math, with industry partners and work toward solving real-world business problems with innovative software solutions. The showcase features 20 student team projects, including three student-led startup businesses, and research projects. This event is open to the local business and university communities.
A schedule of events follows:
1-1:45 p.m., keynote talk by Divya Bhat, Y Combinator Partner — As a Visiting Group Partner at the Y Combinator, Bhat brings valuable insights and recent operational experience to Y Combinator’s startup companies. A Y Combinator alum, Bhat co-founded Rickshaw, a successful local delivery platform that was eventually acquired by DoorDash.
2-4 p.m., Project Demonstrations
4 p.m., Awards
