The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is inviting university faculty and staff to submit project ideas for its 2020-2021 Senior Design course.
Students enrolled in the Senior Design course spend two semesters working on a project sponsored by members of local industry or university faculty or staff. The course provides students with hands-on educational and professional experience and the ability to contribute to a real-world project.
Previous projects have served a variety of fields and industries. Offered project categories include web development, mobile apps, data analytics, Internet of things, virtual and augmented reality, machine learning, artificial intelligence, gaming and geographic information systems.
The internal sponsor commitment is $11,500 and a time commitment of 2-3 hours a week to attend sponsor meetings, release meetings and assist the team with their development of your system. The cost of the project covers administrative expenses.
As only a limited number of projects can be completed within the course each year, not all submissions will be accepted. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by a panel of course advisers.
Project submissions are due to the department by June 26. Learn more on the Senior Design website.
