Paige Piper, executive director of the Child Advocacy Center, will present at the final State of the Agency lecture from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 20 in the Nebraska Union’s Swanson Auditorium.
The lecture series, hosted by the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the union’s Heritage Room.
Piper has served as the executive director of the Child Advocacy Center since June 2020. She is responsible for agency oversight including budgeting and fundraising, program development, strategic planning and execution and leadership and management of staff. Prior to assuming the role of executive director, Piper worked for Bulu, Inc. as the marketing and new business director where she worked closely with the team to create and pitch multi-million dollar business plans to companies such as Disney, Crayola, and Clorox. Piper previously served at the Child Advocacy Center in the role of development director where she performed fundraising activities, including donor development, grant writing, corporate outreach, special events and print and digital marketing and advertising. She is currently a board member for the Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers, as well as the Lincoln Arts Council. Piper also serves as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Nebraska Wesleyan University.
