Michael Burton, assistant professor of textiles, merchandising, and fashion design, guides students in identifying patterns during the semester-opening session of his Advanced Design for Printed Textiles course on Jan. 22. This senior-level course explores both digital and traditional media for creating printed textiles, with an emphasis on design development, professional practices, and the exploration of expressive and communicative concepts.
