Graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are invited to participate in the 2025 Engineering Pitch Competition taking place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 1 at Kiewit Hall, Room A211. The competition is hosted by the College of Engineering and NUtech Ventures.

Teams can have one to five participants, with at least one participant from the College of Engineering. Interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged. The team must be focused on solving an engineering problem. Individuals may only register once for this competition and may not compete on more than one team.

The competition is judged based on participants' ability to identify an important problem, formulate a value proposition related to solving that problem, estimate market size and describe their business model. Technical details will only be discussed at a very high level.

The competition features prizes for the top three finalists. All prize money must be used for further development of the business idea, such as travel or materials for prototypes.

More information, including the opportunity to attend an informational session about the contest, is available online.
