Four community members will present the panel discussion “Translating Women, Translating Feminism in a Globalized World” at 3:30 p.m. March 26 in the Nebraska Union’s Regency B.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served after the discussion.
This is the second of three events for the Spring 2018 Colloquia hosted by global studies and women’s and gender studies.
The panel will include Shams Al-Badry, an academic adviser for the College of Education and Human Sciences; Lacey Studnicka, director of advancement for community services at Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska; Anna Spethman, the refugee match case manager at Catholic Services; and Izdihar Sheik, a refugee, women’s advocate and social worker.
Patrice McMahon, associate professor of political science at Nebraska, will moderate.
