University of Nebraska–Lincoln students, staff and faculty are invited to drop by the Student Legal Services office during an open house, 2-4 p.m. Feb. 23, in the Nebraska Union, Room 335.
The office recently reopened after a renovation.
During the open house, students have the chance to be introduced to the office’s three licensed attorneys and staff and become acquainted with the most common legal issues university students are likely to face, including:
- Landlord Tenant issues
- Consumer issues
- Family issues
- Criminal Law issues.
Light refreshments will be offered for guests.
A program of the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska, Student Legal Services employs licensed attorneys who provide legal advice or court representation in civil and criminal areas of the law to registered students. All services are free for students. The program is funded via student fees.
