University of Nebraska–Lincoln students with a meal plan have an expanded choice of hours when grabbing a bite to eat.
The Abel Dining Center is open uninterrupted from 6:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch, then reopens 4:30 to 9 p.m. for dinner. The expansion eliminates a one-hour midmorning break and extends dinner service by an additional 60 minutes. Overall, 12 hours have been added to the Abel Dining Center’s weekly schedule. Saturday and Sunday dinner times have been extended by an hour as well, with service available through 9 p.m.
Late-night dining is now offered seven-days-a-week at the Harper Dining Center. From 8:30 to 11 p.m. daily, students can mobile-order and get to-go meals from this location, in addition to enjoying dine-in hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“We’ve wanted to bring back services that were temporarily reduced as soon as we could,” said David Annis, director of Dining Services. “As student vacancies are getting filled, we’re excited to again increase options for students. We truly appreciate and want to thank our customers for their patience.”
Other Dining Services updates include:
- Husker Heroes at Abel will have late-night dining each day, operating from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Husker Heroes at Cather has added two additional days to its schedule. It is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
- The Selleck Food Court has a new fireplace seating area, adding space to the dine-in option.
