NUtech Ventures accepting applications for Nebraska I-Corps

Nebraska Innovation Campus was named Outstanding Research Park at AURP's 27th Annual Awards of Excellence in Innovation.

NUtech Ventures is now accepting applications for Nebraska I-Corps: Introduction to Customer Discovery. The next cohort will begin on Sept. 16, with three additional sessions following on Sept. 23, Oct. 7, and Oct. 28. All sessions are held on Zoom, 4- 6:30 p.m.

Nebraska I-Corps, a campus entrepreneurship training program led by NUtech Ventures, teaches about value propositions, stakeholder ecosystems, interviewing prospective customers and more. Participants get to interview people in their field and learn which problems are important to them — and then consider what that means for a solution.

The six-week program includes large group training sessions taught by NSF I-Corps-trained coaches, featuring interactive course content and practice in small groups. Also available are one-on-one office hours with trained facilitators from various entrepreneurship ecosystem resource providers, such as NUtech Ventures, UNL’s Center for Entrepreneurship, Invest Nebraska, and the Nebraska Business Development Center.

The free, non-credit training program is open to all faculty, staff and students within the University of Nebraska system. All training takes place online, via Zoom. Applicants who are accepted to the program will be given the Zoom information.

More information and the application are available online. For more information, email Joy Eakin, NUtech’s entrepreneurship program manager, jeakin@nutechventures.org.
