The inaugural University of Nebraska–Lincoln Indigenous Health and Wellness Summit, “Wiċozani: A Focus on Mental and Physical Health in Order to Walk in Balance With Life,” will focus on health and wellness issues that impact infants, children, adults and elders in Indigenous communities.
It will also help to create reciprocal relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous health programs and providers to discuss ideas and share information that will map a path forward to healthy lifestyles for Indigenous people in Nebraska.
Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous speakers will present on topics related to health and wellness.
Registration for the event ends Sept. 30. It costs $75 a person. Learn more about speakers and the event agenda.
All Indigenous and non-Indigenous health and wellness representatives are welcome to sponsor booths for their programs and agencies at this summit. There will be no fee to set up booths. Registration for vendors is here.
