Nebraska expertise featured on RFD-TV

Video: Dirac Twidwell on RFD-TV

University of Nebraska–Lincoln researchers have a new opportunity to showcase how their research is impacting rural America.

RFD-TV is seeking campus experts to take part in regular, live interviews on the nationwide cable news channel. The network covers stories and issues specific to rural America, including rural lifestyle, ag production, weather, rural healthcare, and research that impacts farms and communities. The interviews simulcast on Rural Radio (Sirius XM Channel 147).

The first segment on Feb. 25 featured Dirac Twidwell, associate professor of agronomy and horticulture, discussing Nebraska-led research into invasive eastern red cedar trees that threaten rangeland.

The interviews — which are open to all university faculty — are organized through University Communication and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
