Faculty in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering are holding a free conference to strengthen interdisciplinary informatics — the science of processing data for storage and retrieval — on April 10.
Organized by the Informatics and Algorithmic Foundations faculty group within the department, the NeDA 2017 — Second Nebraska Data Analytics Workshop” will feature presentations and discussions on current methodologies in informatics, algorithms, statistics and data analytics and their applications in various disciplines. It will provide perspectives on current informatics and data analytics activities at the university and explore opportunities, emerging challenges, and novel solutions for new collaborations in research, education, and outreach.
A keynote address will be delivered by Shashi Shekhar, a computer science and engineering professor at the University of Minnesota.
