The Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network is hosting a special event for alumnae and students with alumna Brooke Mullen (’07) at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the AKRS Champions Club.
Mullen is changing the narrative as the owner and designer of Sapahn, an ethical fashion brand based in Lincoln that crafts luxury leather bags and accessories that advance human rights. She will reflect on how her company is disrupting what today’s designers stand for, while showing the fashion industry that a focus on human rights is the pathway toward alleviating many vulnerabilities of exploitation.
The event will include Mullen’s talk, plus drinks and appetizers. Learn more and register by Oct. 28.
The Network, formerly known as Cather Circle, is a program of the Nebraska Alumni Association that promotes the growth and education of women and creates a nationwide network of women leaders who each have ties to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
