The University of Nebraska State Museum in Morrill Hall is closed to the public July 28, after overnight storms caused water intrusion on the building's first floor.
University facilities and custodial teams are assessing the affected areas and working to restore the space. The museum will remain closed to the public while cleanup and evaluations continue.
Youth camps are continuing in other floors in the museum.

Morrill Hall is one of more than 50 campus buildings impacted by a storm, which produced an estimated 3-plus inches of rain in some parts of Lincoln and led to flash flooding. Facilities and custodial teams continue to assess impacts and complete cleanup efforts. No other buildings have been fully closed, though some areas remain partially impacted.
