The Moran Woodwind Quintet will perform a recital of two quintet standards and two newer works in the quintet repertoire at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in Westbrook Music Building.
The concert will open with the most famous quintet by the father of the woodwind quintet, Anton Reicha. Concluding the program is Hindemith’s celebrated Kleine Kammermusik, one of the all-time standards in the repertoire.
One of the most active and visible quintets in the Midwest, the Moran Woodwind Quintet is the resident faculty woodwind quintet of the Glenn Korff School of Music.
The event is free and open to the public. The program can be found here.
