The ASUN Graduate Student Assembly is now accepting applications for the Special Projects Grants Program, which is funding to support activities that promote professional development and networking of graduate students at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Last semester the group was able to support four projects, including a math exam writing workshop, a writing for publication workshop, a cyber-harassment hackathon, and a teacher training classroom project.

The ASUN Graduate Student Assembly is again awarding $2500 in grants, up to $1000 each, for activities, events, or projects organized by graduate students that will take place over the summer. Examples of activities that are supported include research symposiums, educational field trips, visiting scholars and workshops.

Applications should be submitted online and will be assessed on a competitive basis following four criteria: impact, need for the project, preparation and financial need/co-sponsorship.

Graduate students will need to submit a description, agenda and budget that describes how their proposed activity contributes to graduate student professional development, specifically addressing the four evaluation criteria.

Applications will be reviewed by the GSA’s Committee for Professional Development.

The deadline to apply is March 31, and awards will be announced by April 20. Click here for more details.
