The musical comedy “The Book of Mormon,” crooner Harry Connick Jr. and neoclassical new-age group Mannheim Steamroller are coming to the Lied Center for Performing Arts in December.

December’s shows:
“The Book of Mormon,” Dec. 11-14, 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 15, 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 16, 1:30 and 7 p.m. — This irreverent musical comedy — co-written by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone — follows two Mormon missionaries as they try to bring the Mormon religion to the inhabitants of a Ugandan village. “The Book of Mormon” won nine Tony Awards, including best musical, and was called “the best musical of this century” by The New York Times. The performance includes explicit language.
“An Evening with Harry Connick Jr.,” Dec. 18, 7:30 p.m. — Over the past three decades, Connick has established himself as a musician, composer, actor and television host. He and his band will perform songs that celebrate his hometown of New Orleans, which turns 300 this year, as well as holiday favorites.
“Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis,” Dec. 20, 3 and 7:30 p.m. — This show features the group’s Christmas classics along with a selection of compositions from Davis’ groundbreaking Fresh Aire series. The program celebrates the group’s recent anniversaries of 30 years since the first Christmas album and 40 years since the first Fresh Aire album and includes dazzling multimedia effects performed in an intimate setting.
